Beaches

Ballito is fortunate enough to be a very warm location during the Winter months, unlike some other parts of the country.

Boulder Bay is perfectly situated as it is in very close proximity to several well-loved beaches, namely Granny's Pool, Clarke and Willards Beach.

Granny's Pool is located 500m along the promenade. As you walk out the gate, turn left. Although Granny’s Pool is a tidal pool, it has been marked the spot of choice by families as the pool is safe and fun for swimming. It has a rocky and sandy section making it a real delight to explore and swim. There is a lovely atmosphere as families make the most of this beach which offers something for every member of the family.

To get to Clarke Beach, walk down the paved walkway, turn right onto the promenade & stroll for about 600m. The beach is protected by shark nets and there are lifeguards on duty to ensure your safety when you’re enjoying a swim. This beach has a tidal pool where you can observe the living sea creatures in their natural environment.

Willards Beach is to the left of the Boulder Bay beach gate towards the end of the promenade, about 900m from Boulder Bay. It is known for being the home of the Mr Price Pro for the past five years and is Ballito's most popular beach, especially for young teenagers.

Take a walk along the promenade and let us know which beach is your favourite! You also have the choice of several rock pools immediately below Boulder Bay. Both our apartments are equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas and kids beach toys for your convenience.

The Dolphin Coast has had challenging weather conditions to deal with in the last month and a half. Our hearts go out to the families who have lost loved ones and people who have lost their homes and businesses. It has been beautiful to watch and be a part of some amazing projects. The communities in Kwazulu-Natal have really come together and shown their true love and support for those who have lost so much.

We are most grateful that our Boulder Bay Apartments have not been affected by the recent floods. Our situation, set slightly back from the promenade & being on the first floor has provided much protection from the harsh conditions.

May has been a glorious month in Ballito, with so many beautiful autumn beach days. We are confident that the months ahead will boast plenty more ideal days for our guests just longing for some rejuvenating ocean air & sand between the toes.

The Ballito Price Pro will be commencing on the 29 June until the 10 July at Willards Beach, just a 900m walk along the promenade from Boulder Bay.

Our Ballito experience.....

As we are farmers in the Midlands it’s always a huge treat to go for a refreshing break to the beach. We’ve equipped our flats as a home from home for the ultimate holiday experience! We love an early morning run along the promenade, a dip in the sea & pool, a Castle Tank Draft at Hops or just soaking up the sun with our feet in the sand on one of our comfy deck chairs! The perfect location makes it easy to treat ourselves to a meal out or to order a delivery. We can even order our groceries from the local village Spar! Jack sometimes enjoys hitting a few golf balls at the nearby driving range while I browse the shops at the Ballito Junction. We are blessed to have incredible guests who just keep coming back, their encouraging feedback gives us reason to keep our flats at a high standard! We cherish the friendships we’ve made & the guests we’re still to meet. We so look forward to hearing from you!!😀🐬🔆🏖😀
